Aiden's Wrestling Season

Aiden finished his wrestling season at the beginning of December.  He went through our city's program again.  Connor has now become too advanced for our city's league, so he is wrestling through a club in Orem.  His season goes through the beginning of February, so I'll write about his experience then.

Aiden had a good season.  His pinkie was still recovering from surgery, so that limited him a little bit--especially in the first tournament of the season.  But, he still did great.  Here are a few pictures from the first meet...

Halfway through the meet, the fire alarm went off, so we all had to head out into the cold.  And, guess who didn't bring her coat?  It was the first big cold snap of the season and I still wasn't in the mood to wear coats yet.  I thought I could live without one because I'd just be going from my warm car to the warm gym.  Lesson learned.  We had to stand out there for a good 10-15 minutes before the fire department gave the all clear to return inside.  While we were out there, several people came up to me to say how ironic they thought it was that " the weather girl" didn't have a coat on.  Yes, yes.  It was...hilarious.  I guess...

While we were outside, Cohen found himself a nice little seat on a rock.  He wanted me to take his picture, so here it is.  Demon eyes and all...

Then we headed back inside to finish the meet.  Aiden ended up getting 4th place in his weight division.  His finger really started bothering him for his last few matches, and he lost to a couple kids.  Oh well!  He worked hard and did his best, and that's all that matters.

His second--and last--meet happened the first week of December, at the end of the season.  Here's some pictures from that one...

Aiden ended up with 3rd place in his weight division this time.  Here he is with his medal...

Overall, he had a good season and a great time.  He worked hard and did great, despite the fact that his pinkie wasn't 100%.  Great job, Aidenator!!  --Lindsay
