He Can't Walk Yet...

...But, apparently, he can climb ladders!

The Greatest Show on Earth

I've never been much of a circus person. In fact, I think up until yesterday, I had never even been to a circus. It's just not something that I ever had a desire to go to. My boys on the other hand, DID have a desire to go. Everytime the commercial has come on over the past few weeks, Aiden has stopped whatever he is doing & watched it intently. So, when my dad offered us a voucher for free circus tickets, we gladly accepted it.

A few days ago, Mike picked up the tickets at the arena. When he came home that night, he told the boys that he had a story to tell them. This is how it went:

Mike: I went out to eat lunch today at Gateway & guess what I saw while I was there?

Boys: What?

Mike: A parade! And, guess what was in the parade? Elephants, zebras, tigers & clowns!

Both the boys mouths fell open at this point.

Mike: Do you know where the parade was going?

Boys: Where?

Mike: To the arena to be in the CIRCUS!

The boys mouths fell open again.

Mike: Do you boys know where we're going this Saturday?

Boys: To the CIRCUS?!?!?!?!?!

Then Mike pulled out the tickets & showed the boys! They were jumping up & down and screaming like little girls! It was hilarious!

So, yesterday, we headed to the greatest show on earth...

The boys had a blast! Connor liked the tiger show the best. Aiden was in love with the elephants, and so was Cohen. In fact, Cohen started getting kind of grumpy halfway through because it was about his naptime. But, the second the elephants came on, he calmed right down and watched them intently! All the boys liked it when the ladies got shot out of cannons. Here's all my boys at intermission, munching on their totally overpriced munchies...

Thanks for the tickets Poppy! We had a blast at "the greatest show on earth." --Lindsay

Who's That Kid with the Oreo Cookie?

I am happy to report that the "Oreo Affection Gene" has successfully been passed on to the next generation...

These pictures were taken after just one Oreo...yes, that's right, only ONE Oreo made this entire mess! It was totally worth the 10+ minutes of clean up just to see the look of glee on his face! --Lindsay

The Best Thing To Do with a Good Book is Share It

A few Sundays ago, Connor came to me before church and told me he was bored & he asked me what he could do. I suggested that he could read a book. Well, at first, he didn't think that idea was a very good one. But then, I suggested that he read a book to Cohen. That idea brought a smile to his face & off he went. When I walked into the family room a few minutes later, this is what I found...

So precious! I love moments like this! --Lindsay
