Random Stuff That Never Got Blogged About
Okay, I repent. I've been a total blog slacker lately! I just can't keep up with anything lately. How does anyone take care of FOUR kids?!? I feel like I run from 6:00 in the morning until 11:00 at night everyday! I guess it doesn't help that I've started working out too. What little extra time I had at the end of the day is now eaten up by Tony Horton and his ridiculous P90X. Darn you Tony Horton! Darn you! Sigh...
Anyway, my point in blogging today was not to get on here & whine. It was to get on here & blog about some things that never got blogged about. I was going through my pictures the other day and realized that I had never blogged about a bunch of stuff. So, this is my attempt at getting caught up.
Jr. Jazz
Back in January & February, Connor played Jr. Jazz Basketball again this year. Connor loves basketball, even though it's not his best sport. He just has a blast being out on the court with his friends & he had a lot of friends on his team this year! Most the kids on his team were from our neighborhood, so that made it a lot of fun. Here's his official pictures for the season. I have no clue what Connor is doing in the group shot. Funny kiddo...
I like the way our city does Jr. Jazz. The kids have practice for about 20 minutes before the game starts. That way, you don't have practice one night & a game on another. I thought that was a great idea. It was a fun season! I had a blast sitting in the stands & cheering Connor on, while talking to the other moms. I just wish the bleachers were a little softer. My big ol' preggo butt wasn't a fan of them. Other than that, it was a great season...
Cub Scouts
Remember how Connor got his Bobcat Badge a few months back? Well, the month he got it, the Scout Master was out of town, so they didn't do the official ceremony where they paint the kids' faces & stuff. So, the following month, they gave him the full honors. I never posted the pictures of his lovely paint job, so here you go...

Girls Night Out
About a week before Vivvie was born, my mom, sister & I decided to have a girls night out. One of the beauty schools in town was doing a fabulous deal where you got a pedicure, manicure & facial for $30, so we jumped on it. Here we are getting our pedicures. I got Hot Pink, in honor of finally having a girl. Seeing this picture makes me soooooooooooo happy that I will never have to look like this again...

We all decided that the facial was our favorite part of the night. Heavenly!!! After getting pampered, we went to Bajio for dinner. Yummo!

Cute Cohen
Cohen loves babies! Whether it's Vivvie, or his cousin Ella, or a random stranger...he's always wanting to hold the nearest baby. This time, it was Ella's turn...
I love how Ella looks like she's just as big as Cohen in this picture. Too cute! Love my LITTLE man!
Cohen is also turning into our technology wiz! Give this kid any sort of electronic device--computer, smart phone, iPad, etc--and he will know how to use it within a matter of minutes. He loves to play angry birds, Smurfs, and other random apps he can find. He is also a frequent visitor to You Tube & always manages to find the funniest things on there. Not sure how he does it, but he does...
Girls Craft Day
A few weeks ago, Kristin decided to plan a day for my mom & all the girls to get together to do a little crafting. She picked out a craft for us to do, bought all the supplies, and hosted it at her house...
Those of you that know me, know that being crafty is NOT a talent of mine. I have screwed up 95% of every craft I have ever done. This one was no exception. I was ModPodging some paper onto the wood & of course, it started to bubble. I honestly don't know if I've ever used ModPodge & not had the paper bubble on me. I don't know what my problem is. But, my mom had a brilliant idea! It was so brilliant in fact, that I had to share it here. She took my my sister's blow dryer & heated up the bubbling paper. At the same time, she took a credit card & pushed down on the paper really hard...flattening it as she went. It worked! My paper went flat as can be and my project was saved...
Isn't that a great idea? Who knew, right? I'm going to take my blow dryer to all my other destroyed projects to see if I can salvage them.
