Our Trip to Hawaii: Day 4

On our fourth day in Hawaii, we woke up early again and headed to Hanauma Bay to do some snorkeling.  This was our view as we walked down into the old crater.  It was so beautiful...

The snorkeling here used to be amazing, I guess.  But, due to it's popularity, the reef has been damaged over time.  You have to watch a video before going down to the bay that talks about the importance of not touching or walking on the reef, but the reef is clearly damaged.  Because of this, we didn't think the snorkeling here was all that great.  We saw some cool fish, but that was about it.  All the other sea creatures have left.  It was still fun though.  Here are some pictures of our time there...

After our time at Hanauma Bay, the kids wanted to go swimming in the resort pools...

Cohen loves to do belly flops.  It's the funniest thing.  The bigger the splash, the better--in his opinion...

That night, we went to a restaurant called House Without a Key--another David James suggestion.  It was just down the beach from our resort, so we decided to walk.  Right in the heart of Waikiki, we found a Vivienne Westwood store.  I have never heard of this designer, but since her name is Vivienne (French spelling and all), we had to stop and take a picture with our Vivienne...

Then it was back to the hotel to get some shut eye, so we could get ready to island hop to our next destination the following morning.  --Lindsay
