Fun With a Cell Phone Camera
Here's another post full of random cell phone pictures for your viewing enjoyment. Cohen is becoming a pro at rock climbing...
And glow-in-the-dark bowling...
And eating ice cream...
Burgers, fries, onion rings and shakes with my besties...
Thank goodness for sweet kids that take care of themselves when their mama gets sick. I got really sick with the flu (despite having received a flu shot) for 4 days back in January. I wasn't the most attentive parent that week because I felt so horrible. One afternoon, I went into Vivvie's room to find that she had put herself down for a nap. Now, granted, it was on the floor. But, when Mama feels like death warmed over, sometimes this is as good as it gets...
My sweet friend, Serene, brought me a jacked Diet Coke and a sugar cookie when I was sick. I love her! She is always so thoughtful!! And, I'm pretty sure it helped me kick that flu to the curb. Diet Coke is the cure all for everything, right? Especially when it's jacked...
After dinner, we played a little pool...
And then played some board games. How do the employees get anything done with all these fun distractions everywhere???
Vivvie seriously has no idea how lucky she is to have such sweet brothers. One day, the kiddos were watching a TV show and I looked over to find Cohen scratching her back. I really think she thinks all brothers do nice things like this for their sisters all the time...
This is a picture we found while going through some old files. It's Mike when he was eight-years-old. Look at that lovely olive skin tone! Why, I ask you, couldn't just one of our children have gotten this dark skin? You'd think at least one of them would, right? But, nooooooooooooooooooo, the albino gene lives on to curse another generation! Sorry kids...
My random breakfast at work. Sugar cookies, chocolate-dipped strawberries and a fried oyster topped with an avocado salsa...
We decided last month to start potty training Viv. It didn't go over so well, and we've put the training on hold for a few months, but that's another post for another day. Connor came with me to Target to get all the supplies to help with the potty training process. I had to take a picture when I realized my 11-year-old son was proudly walking through the store carrying a princess potty seat and princess panties. Anyone seen a man card lying around anywhere? Connor seems to have lost his...
After Target, I took Con to get some ice cream, as reward for turning in his man card...
Mike and I went to La Jolla Groves for dinner on Valentines Day. It was yummy...
Mike finally installed the crown molding in our dining room. This was a project that was started last May, but then immediately had to be put on hold because of his shoulder injury. The room is almost finished. I just need some curtains and a little more greenery and then I should be done. I'll post pictures when it's finally complete, but I love the way it's turning out...
Vivvie has a princess app on my phone that she loves to play with. One of the things you can do is take pictures of people as princesses. You have to position the person really carefully in order to get the crown, necklace and dress in the right place--which doesn't happen much, especially when Viv is the one taking the picture...
I have hundreds of pictures on my phone just like those pictured above.
A few weeks ago, I ran out of gas. Yep, I ran out of gas--like the boss that I am. Haven't done something like that since I was 16-years-old. I had meant to fill up before leaving downtown, but then I started talking to Mike on the phone and totally forgot about it. Well, I ran out of gas at Point of Mountain. Super...
Luckily, my knight in shining armor came to rescue me. Love him...
Where do you hold your tea parties? Vivienne prefers to hold hers in the bathtub. Yep, the bathtub--of all places...
Another night out with my little golfing buddy...
And we had to climb the rock wall again too...
Amy and I taking funny pictures for Facebook. Yes, I get paid to do crazy stuff like this...
I also get paid to celebrate Mardi Gras. Here we are hanging out with Chef Johnny from Harmons while he preps our jambalaya for the show...
Speaking of Mardi Gras, we celebrated at our house as well with a pot of gumbo and a king cake...
Who knew you could find King Cake in Utah?!? Harmons is the place, if you're looking for one next year. And, I laugh every time at the warning on the side of the box...
Cohen found the baby inside his piece of cake...
We always miss Louisiana around Mardi Gras time. Glad we can still have a little taste of it here in Utah.
Connor's class went on a field trip to "Junior Achievement City" at Discovery Gateway. In the weeks leading up to the field trip, they applied for different "jobs" they could do while there and then went through mock job interviews in order to get them. Connor's career for the day ended up being CFO of KSL. Yep, he went to work for my competition. I told him not to make too much money for them, but it sounds like he didn't listen to me very well...
I went out to dinner a few nights ago with a few of Mike's cousins and/or cousin's wives. We went to Saffron Valley, a local Indian restaurant, and had a great time. I really love spending time with these girls. Many of us are very similar and we all get along really well. I have adopted them as sister-in-laws...
So, there you go. A few more random moments from my life over the past few months, captured with the help of my cell phone camera. --Lindsay
